Toll Free: 877.939.0400 Wilton, Calif - June 1, 2008 - Premier Power, one of the largest integrators of small to large-scale solar electric systems, has partnered with enXco to deploy a one-megawatt solar photovoltaic array located in Wilton, CA.
The 1MW ground mounted fixed tilt solar array consists of approximately 14,000 First Solar modules and is expected to generate enough electricity to power approximately 600 homes.
SMUD will purchase the project's output under a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement and then sell to customers that have subscribed to SMUD's voluntary SolarShares program.
This array represents the largest solar PV project in the United States built in response to customer enrollment in a voluntary green pricing program.
